Conowingo Dam

It is worth a visit, depending on the time of year you can see hundreds of Eagles. Head here with binoculars or a good camera preferably long focal length. Large groups of great blue heron and bald eagle, sometimes well over one hundred of each species, have been observed at the dam. October through mid-March is a popular time of year for viewing eagles but there are also eagle there year round
I visited in March 0f 2020 and only saw a few eagles, adults, and juveniles. At least, what was in range of my lens. I took Tamron 150-600 mm lens, attached to Sony a77.
Fairly chilly and breezy morning but warmed up as day went on.
